OpenAQ API Reference

The OpenAQ API reference documentation provides an in-depth guide to using the OpenAQ API. A high level overview of the core concept of the OpenAQ system is also available in the guide.

Data on OpenAQ’s open-source platform are available for free for non-commercial uses. (Please contact us if you intend to use data on the OpenAQ platform for commercial uses.)

The reference includes documentation for both the legacy versions 1 and 2 API, and the new version 3 API.

Usage limits:

• OpenAQ only hosts data that, to the best of our knowledge, are available for free redistribution and use throughout the world. In some cases, attribution of data source is required. If you intend to use OpenAQ for commercial purposes, please contact us at [email protected].
